Founded in 1943, Tenovus is the leading cancer charity in Wales. Their support services mean that anyone affected by cancer can access treatment, advice and support whenever and wherever they need it most. They do all this in the heart of the community.
The scientists at Tenovus developed the use of Tamoxifen, now used worldwide to treat breast cancer, and Zoladex which treats prostate cancer. Alongside this ground-breaking research, they have developed a system of cancer support services to help cancer patients and their families, when they need it most, including their Freephone Cancer Support Line (0808 808 1010), which is open 8am – 8pm, 7 days a week.
