Preparing your data before moving to GiftAider

A clean export makes onboarding quicker and reduces the number of records that need manual review. Before moving to GiftAider, gather the records your team relies on for Gift Aid and donor management.

• Donor names and addresses.
• Postcodes and country fields.
• Donation dates and amounts.
• For Breeze: confirmation that valid declaration evidence is already held outside GiftAider.
• For Amplify: declaration status and declaration date if declaration management will be handled in GiftAider.
• Claim history or claim status.
• Original source IDs.
• Notes and custom fields.

Do not tidy data by deleting fields before review. For Breeze, we agree the claim-ready donor and donation fields to import and confirm declaration evidence is held in the source records. For Amplify, we can also agree what should be imported, ignored or mapped to an Amplify custom attribute.
